Halloween

万圣节前夕

It’s October 31st.

今天是十月三十一号。

It’s Halloween.

今天是万圣节前夕。

The kids are very happy.

孩子们很高兴。

They are making masks.

他们在做面具。

They are making Jack-­o’-­lanterns. Then they dress up like ghosts.

他们正在做南瓜灯笼。然后他们打扮得像幽灵一样。

In the evening they go from door to door. They knock at the door of a house and cry,"Trick or treat!" A woman comes out and gives them some candy. They thank her and go to another house.

晚上他们挨家挨户地走。他们敲了一个房子的门，并大叫：“不给糖果就捣乱！”一个女人出来给他们一些糖果。他们感谢了她，去了另一个家。

They knock at the door and cry," Trick or treat!" This time a tall ghost comes out. The kids cry"Ah! A ghost!" and run away.

他们敲了敲门并大叫：“不给糖果就捣乱！”这时一个高大的幽灵出来了。孩子们大叫“啊！幽灵！”并跑开了。

"Don’t run away," the ghost cries."It’s just us. We are Bob and Rob." The kids all laugh.

“不要逃跑，”幽灵喊道。“是我们。我们是鲍勃和罗伯。”孩子们都笑了。
